The area of Botanic Ridge historically featured the geological formation Cranbourne Sands, featuring indigenous vegetation such as Manna Gums and Narrow Leaf Peppermint. European settlement then saw the area used for agricultural and pastoral purposes, which has now led to its current range of uses including grazing, horse stabling and training, market gardening, and residential development.

Formally Cranbourne South, the suburb of Botanic Ridge was born in 2009 due to its proximity to the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne and the fast-growing nature of the area. The new identity also offered the opportunity to raise the profile of the Royal Botanic Gardens locally and across the region, which now welcomes over 240,000 visitors annually.

Located in the main car park, customers can utilise the charging stations 24/7 by parking in the appropriate bays and downloading the Chargefox app. Chargefox is Australia’s largest Electric Vehicle charging network and has an easy-to-use platform which allows quick charging of your vehicle.
